Deep sea special with the rolex. check yourself before you wreck yoself.

After our event at Bonhams on Saturday, it’s pretty clear you guys like getting together to talk about watches.  As such, we’re here with another opportunity to do just that!

We heard from the folks at Tourneau yesterday that they would like to extend a special invitation to HODINKEE readers for an event this Thursday.  From 5-8pm at the Tourneau Time Machine, Rolex will have on display the original Deep Sea Special, the legendary watch that descended almost 7 miles below the water’s surface to the deepest point on planet earth.

The watch is a legend, as is US NAVY Captain Don Walsh, the man who piloted the Trieste to such depths – and he will be on hand for you to meet. All in celebration of Rolex’s 50 years of diving heritage, this is an event not to be missed.

This watch would go perfectly with the prototype Divomet we showed you earlier, wouldn’t it?

You may RSVP by emailing here with your name, or by responding on Facebook here.

Hope to see many of you there!
