Introducing Two New Custom Rollies From Project X Designs: Project X Goes Double-Red, Twice

by on Oct.20, 2010, under Review, What's New

The world of aftermarket Rolex customization is a murky one.  We all know that Rolex doesn’t sanction them, and frankly 90% are terrible (don’t believe us? see here).  But, from time to time we come across a decent one, and typically they come from Project X Designs. Remember the Orange Hand Explorer II from PXD?

Just announced today are two “Double Red” Submariners from Project X, both of which happen to look absolutely great. Details below

PXD SS2: £8950.00

Specs include: DLC coating on a brand new ref 16610LV Rolex, black lume dot, crown guard removal, double red text, spring loaded fixed bars, and an enamel, engraved caseback.  These will be made in a series of only 24 pieces.  For details on the SS2, click here.

PXD SS3: £6750.00

Specs include: A maxi dial customization, satin case finish, a black lume pearl dot, cyclops removal, double red text, spring loaded fixed bars, individually numbered case backs, and a G10 NATO.  Like the SS2, this watch is based on a BNIB ref 16610LV Rolex Submariner.  Only 24 will be produced.  Click here for details on the SS3.
