The Limited Edition Breguet Type XX Aeronavale: A Watch Worthy of the Type XX Moniker

by on Oct.10, 2010, under Review, What's New

We like vintage and alot of folks do. Have a look at a review we found at Hodinkee, you won’t be disappointed.

Vintage-styled and vintage-inspired chronographs (like the Tudor Heritage Chrono and the Bell & Ross Vintage Carbon series) seem to be pretty popular these days – and we certainly don’t have a problem with that.

Now Breguet is joining the act in producing a Type XX flyback chronograph in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Aeronavale (French Naval Aviation) as well as the 50th anniversary of the first Type XX watches being delivered to the Aeronavale. In addition, 2010 also happens to mark the 60th anniversary of the Breguet Type XX winning the official approval of the French military.

The limited edition Type XX Aeronavale 3803ST comes in a numbered series of 1,000 and has an automatic movement with the signature flyback feature of Type XX watches. This steel watch has a rotating bezel and is 39mm in diameter with 100 meters of water resistance.

Our readers might also be interested to note that this limited edition Type XX closely resembles the Type XXs of the 1970s and 1980s, like this one.

All in all, a great looking watch with a fantastic movement and true heritage to boot; a winner in our book.
